Foundation Skills and Essential Everyday Obedience
Easy Basics* is for owners who wish to teach their dog basic skills or improve upon what they already know. We aim to help you train your dog to be a well-mannered, friendly, fun companion to have around. Essentials you will learn include the basic principles of dog training, how to get and keep your dog's attention, core obedience commands (Sit, Stay, Down), and good manners such as not snatching food. We will also address common problem areas such as recalls, lead walking and jumping up.
The first session is without the dogs, and we give a talk and a demonstration of some obedience skills to get you started. You can also ask questions and chat with the other dog owners - sometimes a much-appreciated lifeline!!
We train using methods that keep your dog's confidence up and their tail wagging. We'll show you how to get a well-behaved dog because they've worked out how to be well-behaved!! |
