This course is for dog owners wanting an alternative fun and educational activity to do with their best friend. The great thing about tricks is that you and your dog can train any time, any place for as little as two minutes and all the while, strengthening the bond between you and your furry little friend! We use positive methods based around allowing your dog to think for himself in order to earn his “wages.”

We provide you with techniques to improve your own training skills, as well as giving you ideas for fun training exercises to do with your dog. Tricks we will be covering include rollover, beg, balance the treat, jump through a hoop, weave through your legs, and all sorts of variations on these and other tricks. We'll also play fun games to help you and your dog learn. To make the best use of your time, your dog should be happy in a class environment and it will be helpful if your dog has some basic obedience skills, ie have an idea of a Sit, Down and a Wait / Stay. If your dog isn't very good yet, don't worry as these skills will improve over the duration of the course.

In addition to the class, you'll have access to the group discussion forum and e-mail list to get help and support outside of class (should you feel you need it!). We strongly encourage sharing with your classmates for ideas and feedback on your own progress.
