Boney Fido Dog Training was set up by Liz Beyer and Dave Proctor in 2005 to provide an alternate, fun and realistic approach to dog training.
Boney Fido Dog Training places the emphasis on having a well-mannered and happy four-legged friend.
Boney Fido Dog Training offers short courses teaching humans how to train their dogs. You can take part in Easy Basics Obedience, teaching valuable lifeskills to your dog, or take an alternative route to developing a bond with your dog through Tricks & Fun.
Boney Fido Dog Training demonstrates how you can communicate with your dog without ever having to raise your voice or a hand, nor throttle or electrocute them! The courses develop your dog's mental and physical capacities through learning to think for themselves and work out a better, more sociable way to get what they're after! Your dog's attention, focus and co-ordination and fitness will all improve with all this training!!
Easy Basics Obedience is a 6 week long course which places the emphasis firmly on steady progression and easy homework to guide your training - no brain aches here!! Tricks give you fantastic snippets of training which you and your dog can do together in a few minutes at home. In this busy world, owners need all the help they can get to find ways to improve the bond between them and their dog in a fun and relaxed manner.
Liz Beyer trains with Freddy in Canine Freestyle (Heelwork to Music) for fun and soon to be (hopefully!) competition. She has performed for the public on several occasions and is currently working on a new routine. Liz and Freddy have competed in agility, and took first place in the beginner's class in 2002. She is a Student Member of The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors and Freddy was awarded the Bronze level Good Citizen's Award in 2004. Liz also has an A-level in Psychology.
Dave Proctor is fascinated by the psychological aspects of canine training. His favourite training method is Free Shaping, which relies on the dog trying out new actions for itself without any prompting from the human. He has attended workshops by Mary Ray and Attila Szkukalek and is keenly observant of demonstrations of dog and human behaviour wherever he can find it.
Boney Fido Dog Training courses are insured to £2.5M.
